Article 12 (External Data Transmission)

The Company uses third-party services, including Google, for usage analytics, ad delivery, and maintaining service quality. Article 13 (Advertising and Affiliate Programs)

To fund the operation of the Service, the Company may display advertising on the Service, or introduce third-party products and services and receive consideration for doing so (collectively, "Advertising"). Advertising includes each of the following forms.

  1. Performance-based advertising (affiliate marketing), under which the Company receives referral fees or other consideration based on outcomes such as purchases, service applications, account registrations, information requests, bookings, or clicks. This includes programs joined through an affiliate service provider (ASP) as well as programs entered into directly with an advertiser.
  2. Referral programs using referral codes, coupon codes, or other identifiers, under which the Company receives consideration or benefits based on use of a unique code or link issued to the Company.
  3. Advertising that is not performance-based, including advertising paid for by placement period or ad slot, sponsored articles, tie-up articles, and other content produced with consideration or benefits provided by a third party.
  4. Introductions made after receiving products or services, loans of products, or discounts from a third party.

Advertising may appear on pages of the Service as well as in emails the Company sends to Members, on social media accounts operated by the Company, and in other media the Company controls. The businesses with which the Company partners for Advertising, and the forms such Advertising takes, may be added to or changed as the Company's business requires. The businesses applicable to any particular advertisement can be confirmed from the disclosure shown in the medium carrying it.

Where a partner's terms require a specific statement, the Company presents it as follows. The Company is a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn referral fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.jp.

  1. When a Member visits a destination via an Advertising link, the operator of that advertising (including ASPs, advertisers, and measurement providers) may use cookies, on-device storage, identifying parameters appended to the link, server-to-server communication, and other technologies to collect information about the Member's referring page, browsing, and purchases, for the purpose of measuring outcomes and calculating consideration.
  2. What the Company receives from such operators is aggregated information such as outcome counts and amounts payable; the Company does not identify individual Members from it.
  3. The handling of information collected under the preceding two items is governed by the privacy policies of each operator and destination. Please refer to the respective policies for details.
  4. In placing Advertising, the Company clearly indicates in the relevant medium that the content constitutes advertising, in accordance with the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations and other applicable laws and regulations. Where the Company has received the provision, loan, or discount described in item 4 of the preceding paragraph, it discloses that fact as well.
  5. The content, prices, availability, and transaction terms of products and services shown at destinations are determined by each business and are subject to change. The Company is not a party to such transactions and bears no responsibility for transactions between Members and those businesses.

Article 14 (Revisions to the Policy)

The Company reviews the operational status of the handling of personal information as appropriate and endeavors to make continuous improvements, and may revise this Policy as necessary. When there are material changes to this Policy, the Company will notify Members through the Service.
